These little red schoolhouses have a sweet history. I first created this design in 2008 for a small confectionary company in MA , who discovered my work on Etsy. They wanted a cheerful end‑of‑year candy box for students to give their teachers — something nostalgic, simple, and full of heart.
I designed the artwork, printed each sheet myself, and hand‑cut and assembled every box in my studio. Each schoolhouse is still made the same way today: printed on sturdy cardstock, carefully cut, folded, and glued by hand. They’re part of my long-running house series — small paper buildings inspired by the idea of “home within,” the places we carry with us.

Care instructions
Resin picks up finger prints and the surface is affected by plastic wrap or bubblewrap. It needs to be wrapped with tissue paper first then bubble wrap so that it doesn't mar the surface, If the surface does become marred just let it sit out in a warm room and eventually it will go back to a smooth surface.
